Privacy Policy

1. About this policy

FounderHub lets people create public founder profiles, showcase projects, and discover other founders. This Privacy Policy explains what information FounderHub (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles when you visit the website, sign in, create a profile, or otherwise use the service. FounderHub is free and does not collect payment-card information or process payments.

2. Information we handle

  • Account information provided through Google sign-in, such as your email address, name, profile image, and account identifier, together with session information used to keep you signed in.
  • Profile information you provide, including your name, username, bio, country, personal website, social links, and uploaded photo. Previously saved location and tag information may also remain in existing profiles.
  • Project information, such as names, descriptions, websites, categories, statuses, logos, and optional self-reported revenue.
  • Usage and technical information processed to deliver, secure, and understand the service, which may include IP addresses, request URLs, page views, referring websites, approximate location, browser and device information, timestamps, and error or security logs.

3. How information is collected

We receive information directly from you when you complete profile or project forms, from Google and Supabase when you sign in, and automatically from browsers and service providers when the website is requested or used. We do not receive your Google password.

4. How information is used

We use information to authenticate users, maintain sessions, save and display profiles and projects, support discovery and sharing, operate and improve the website, prevent abuse, investigate technical or security issues, respond to requests, and comply with applicable obligations. We do not verify user-supplied revenue and do not use payment-processing or revenue-verification integrations.

5. Public profiles and uploaded images

Publishing makes your founder profile and projects visible to everyone, including visitors who are not signed in. Revenue is displayed only when you choose to show it. Your account email is not included in your public profile unless you independently place it in public content.

Uploaded profile photos and project logos use public storage URLs, including while a profile is a private draft. Do not upload confidential images. Public content may be indexed, copied, cached, or shared by other people, websites, search engines, and social platforms. External copies may remain after you edit or delete the original.

6. Cookies and analytics

FounderHub uses essential authentication cookies so signed-in users can maintain a session and manage their profiles. Blocking these cookies may prevent sign-in or account features from working.

FounderHub uses Umami for aggregate website analytics, such as page views, referring websites, approximate location, and browser or device information. Our tracker is configured without analytics cookies, excludes URL query strings, and respects browser Do Not Track settings. Analytics is used to understand general service usage and is not used to build advertising profiles.

7. When information is shared

Published profile and project information is shared publicly at your direction. Other information may be shared with service providers that operate FounderHub, when required by law or a valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, our rights, or the security and integrity of the service. We do not sell or rent personal information.

8. Service providers and international processing

We use the following services for the purposes listed. Their own policies describe how they handle information within their respective roles.

These providers may process information in countries other than your own. The location and protection of provider-held information depend on each provider’s infrastructure, contractual commitments, and applicable law.

9. Retention

We retain active account, profile, project, revenue, and media records while your account exists or as needed to provide the service. When account deletion succeeds, FounderHub removes your active authentication account, profile, projects, revenue records, and uploaded images. Limited information may remain temporarily in provider backups, security records, or technical logs according to provider retention schedules or where retention is required by law. Aggregate analytics and copies retained independently by third parties may not be linked to, or removable through, your FounderHub account.

10. Security

FounderHub uses authentication, ownership checks, database access controls, server-only administrative credentials, upload validation, and encrypted HTTPS connections to protect information. Access is limited according to the purpose of each application component. No method of storage or internet transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

11. Your choices and rights

You can edit profile details and manage projects from your account. A username becomes permanent after first publication. You control whether optional revenue is displayed publicly. You can permanently delete your active FounderHub account data from the account page.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a copy of personal information, or to object to certain processing and complain to an applicable data-protection authority. 12. Children

FounderHub is intended for people who are legally able to create an account and agree to the Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect account information from children who cannot lawfully provide it. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information without the authorization required by applicable law.

13. External links

Founder profiles and projects may link to websites and social-sharing services that FounderHub does not control. Their own terms and privacy practices apply when you visit or use them.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when FounderHub or its data practices change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
